Obituary of Maria Giuseppina Mascitelli

MASCITELLI, Maria Giuseppina Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, July 14th, 2014 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of 54 years to Carmine. Cherished mother of Antonio (Marilyn), the late Dominic (1985), Mario (Laura), and Amy (Ivan) Jemison. Much loved Nonna of Michael (Kerri), Adam, Heather (Todd), Dean, Eric, Riley and Tanner. Proud Bisnonna of Marleigh. Sister of Addolorata, the late Albino (1999), and Tonino. Maria will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents Teodoro DiBartolomeo and Giovaninna DiCristofaro. Maria was born in Santo Stefano, Compobasso, Italy and moved to St. Catharines in 1960. She worked in the canning industry for over 20 years. Maria enjoyed spending her free time at the casino and playing bingo with her friends, but most of all, she cherished her time with her family. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of CCAC and ParaMed for their support and care. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Thursday, July 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Maria's life will be held on Friday, July 18th at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Reception to take place at the funeral home.
