Obituary of Thomas John Robins

ROBINS, Thomas John "Tom" It is with great peace that we announce that Tom has gone home to be with his Lord and Saviour. Tom passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Linhaven Home, at the age of 75, after a lengthy illness. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Mary. Loving father of Nancy (Geoff), Debbie (Marty), Thomas, Anna (Andrew), David (Danielle). Proud grandfather of Dana (Derrick), Kate and her soon-to-arrive brother, and great-grandfather to Aurora and River. Loving step-father of Thomas (Kathy), Cathy (Mark), Joy (Eric), Sharon (Roger) and Craig (Kim). Proud grandfather to Amanda, Nate, Aiden, Cierra, Sydney and Mallory. Dear brother of Charles (Shirley), Shirley (Alan), Helen, Barbara (Norman), David (Esther) and Eva (Paul). Tom will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Tom worked for many years as a Research Technician and a Mill Supervisor at Ontario Paper. Tom will be remembered for his creativity in art, wood working and special mechanical aptitude. Tom loved spending weekends with his family, exploring the outdoors and serving the Lord in various outreaches such as Sunday School, camps, witnessing and service within the community. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton, on Monday, July 7, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Scottlea Gospel Chapel, 500 Scott St., St. Catharines on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Fonthill Cemetery, 25 Highland Ave., Fonthill. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Family Bible Hour, Niagara Shorthills Christian Ministries or Camp Li-Lo-Li.
