Obituary of Arthur Edward Stevens

STEVENS, Arthur Edward Dec. 12, 1922- June 22, 2014 Taking his final "Sentimental Journey", it is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Dad, Art at the NHS -St. Catharines Site. We know he's dancing once more with his beloved war bride of 62 years, Muriel (2008). He will be dearly missed by his daughters Maree (David) Graham and Sharon (Peter) Rees, grandchildren Tawnya (Marcus) Paura, Sandra (Jonah) Butovsky and Warren (Julie) Rees and great grandchildren Jacob, Aaron, Zoe and Hannah. Special thanks to the hospital staff Tania (ER), Sandra, Andi, Joanne and Kaitlyn for their caring and support. Also, many heartfelt thanks to Linhaven Brock House staff, especially Marilyn, Karen, Carrie and Ruth for their loving care of Dad which was greatly appreciated by our family. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Art's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Wednesday, June 25th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 26th at St. John's Anglican Church, 80 Main Street, Port Dalhousie at 11am. There will be a private family inurnment at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. John's Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
