Obituary of Mary Ciuper

CIUPER, Mary Peacefully on Sunday, May 25th at Garden City Manor at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Teodore. Dear mother of Patricia and her husband John Biro of St. Catharines and Rosemary and her husband Peter Flaxy of Wainfleet. Loving grandma of Rebecca Biro, Peter (Stephanie) Biro, Sabrina (John) MacMillan and Phillip Biro. Great grandmother of Katelin and Erin, Hannah and Nicholas. Predeceased by her brothers Alex and Paul Goral. Mrs. Ciuper was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church. Mary was a hardworking and dedicated mother. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, but most of all she loved to garden. Special thanks to the staff at Garden City Manor for their loving and compassionate care. Mrs. Ciuper's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, May 29th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 14 Rolls Avenue on Friday, May 30th at 10am. Rite of Committal to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Panachyda will be celebrated in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
