Obituary of Allan Joseph Fisher

Fisher, Allan Surrounded by his family, Allan passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Saturday, May 24, 2014, in his 76th year. Allan has been reunited with his beloved wife of 50 years, Joan. Loving father of Cathy Hunt of Stoney Creek, Melinda and John Forster of St. Catharines, Pat Fisher and Tammy Mott of Fort Erie, Erin Miller and Ken Borg of Oakville and Gail and Rick Vincelette of Port Colborne. Grandpa will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jennifer, Amanda, Carlie, Tamara, Kyle, Wesley, Josh, Christopher, Kevin, Brandi and great grandchildren Taylor, Dustin, Sheridan, Madison, Seth, Johnny and Gemma. Allan will be missed by his dear friend and companion Lucy Grinnell of Florida. He was also survived by his brother-in-law Earl Johnson and his family, also by Michael and Judith McNamara and their family. Allan was predeceased by his sister June Johnson and by his parents Joseph and Hilda Fisher. Allan worked for E.S. Fox for many years, and will be dearly missed by his colleagues and many golf friends. In accordance with Allan's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Thursday, May 29, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. A celebration of Allan's life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
