Obituary of Penelope Jayne Hallewell

Hallewell (Ross), Penelope Jayne After a long and valiant battle, Jayne passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 16, 2014, at home, at the age of 61. Predeceased by her husband Billy (2012), her infant son Tristan (1986) and by her parents. Beloved mother of Malcolm Ross of St. Catharines, Tim Ross of Thunder Bay and stepmother to Tracey Ross of Calgary. Much loved sister of Rose DeLottinville of Mount Hope, Cass Watson of Hamilton, and Tim (MaryAnn) Hallewell of Dundas. Cherished long time friend of Brigitte, Marta and Nan. Jayne will be sadly missed by many friends and extended family in Canada and UK, and especially by her 4 legged companion, Stewie. Many thanks to CCAC, Hospice Niagara and the St. Catharines General Hospital. In accordance with Jayne's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. Following visitation, friends are invited to join Jayne's family in the Fellowship Hall (at the funeral home) for a reception and a time of celebration. In lieu of flowers, Jayne has requested donations to be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
