Obituary of Wayne Edwin Burgess

BURGESS, Wayne (Ted) Passed away while surrounded by his loving family. Ted devoted his life to his family. He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years and best friend Bev. Proud father to his sons Scott (Sandra), Gary (Jennifer) and Greg (Kim). Much loved Grandpa Ted of Nick, Emma, Olivia, Cameron, Austin, Jackson and Grady. He leaves behind his loving sister Joann (John), "brother" Gary (Moira), "sister" Gail, and his many nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Ted's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, on Friday, April 4th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, April 5th at 11:30am. A reception celebrating his life will follow the service at the funeral home in the Kristen French Fellowship Hall. There will be a private family inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Make a Wish Foundation or the Lincoln County Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
