Obituary of Ruth Wojcik
WOJCIK, Ruth: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth Wojcik with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, July 27th, 2011 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas (1993). Loving mother of Norma (Edward) Steele of Atlanta, GA, Daniel (Nancy) Wojcik of Ottawa, Helen (Mario) Pizzacalla of Thorold. Cherished grandma of David, Roma, Dean, John, Rexana, Roman, Lisa, and great-grandmother of 6 great-grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her sister Mary (the late Don) Davidson, and brothers Arthur (the late Kay), Richard (June), and Lloyd(Joan). Predeceased by her brother Douglas. Ruth was a longtime and very active member for more than 32 years of the St.Catharines Church of the Deaf, and will be sadly missed by those who knew her. Mrs. Wojcik is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Calvary Church, 89 Scott Street on Saturday at 11a.m. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial Remembrances made to the Canadian Cultural Society of the Deaf would be appreciated by the family.
