Obituary of Eleanor Shaw

SHAW, Eleanor- It is with sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Shaw on Friday, February 28th, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, Dora and Abbott Shaw and her brother Donald P. Shaw, sister in law Patricia Cornwall Shaw, niece Jennifer Walker and is survived by her nieces: Marilyn Walker (Norris and Children Elizabeth and Sheila), Donna Nunn (Barry), Susan Bausch (Shawn, Kelly, Kerry Lynn, and Katharine). Eleanor was a graduate of the University of Toronto and spent most of her professional career as a teacher at the St Catharines Collegiate Institute where she taught Home Economics. She was an active member of First United Church and University Women's Club as well as the St. Catharines Skating Club and the St.Catharines Golf Club. The family would like to thank Dr. Wong and the staff at Linhaven as well as the Raham family, Lisa, Maureen, Debbie & Julie for their kind and thoughtful care given to Eleanor during these last difficult years. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Eleanor's Life will take place at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton Street on Saturday, June 7th at 12p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be given to the St. Catharines University Women's Club (Charitable Fund).
