Obituary of David John Joseph Dennis

Dennis, David - On Thursday February 20, 2014 peacefully with his family by his side at the Greater Niagara General Hosptial at the age of 75. Loving husband and best friend to Aileen for over 51 years. Adored brother to Shirley (David) Denis. Devoted dad to Penny (Brian) Fenton, Janice (Clark) Smith, David Andrew and Krista Fenton. Beloved Papa to Kayla and Kamron Fenton. Special brother-in-law to Norman (Chris) Behie, Peter (Michelle) Behie, Stuart (Jeannette) Behie, Peggy (Buddy) McChesney, and Betty-Lynn Behie. Sadly missed by his cousin Michael (Helen) McKay and extended family members. Predeceased by his father Nicholas (Mary) and mother Isabel (Roy) Miller and grand daughter Kelly Fenton. David worked as a Tool and Die Maker at General Motors for 24 years, enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family most of all. Dad never met a stranger! Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Monday between 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11am in the funeral home chapel with cremation to follow. Reception will be held in the Kristen French Fellowship Hall located in the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Association.
