Obituary of Hugo "Joe" Reuvekamp
REUVEKAMP, Hugo "Joe"
Passed away peacefully at Albright Manor with family by his side on Friday, February 7th, 2014 at the age of 85. Predeceased by his wife of 26 years, Margaret (2013). Loving father of Anne, Frank, Peter (Joy), Frances (Ken) Intini and Donna. Cherished grandpa of Ryan, Jarret, Rebecca, Adelaide, Norton, Nicole and Kendra. Brother of Gerald (Jenny), Nellie (John) Poel, of St. Mary's, Frances (the late Case) Vader, of London, Ann (Tony) Marlow, Peter (Penny), of Huntsville, Dora (the late Paul) McIntyre, and Jack (Annette). Joe will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his brother Walter (the late Agatha), Frank (the late Bernice) and his sister Grenda Perger. Hugo retired from General Motors in 1983 after 30 years of service and enjoyed his 31 years of retirement.
Joe's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, February 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 12th at 9:30 a.m. with burial following at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Albright Manor would be appreciated by the family.
