Obituary of Glenn George

GEORGE, Glenn - Passed away with his loving wife by his side on Wednesday February 5th, 2014 at the Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Loretta for 51 years. Cherished father of John George and Terri McBean (Craig). Special grandfather of Sarah, Nicholas and McCalla. Great grandfather of Shea Patrick. Loving brother of Norma (the late Gerry) Halton. Uncle of Bob (Amanda) Halton, Cindy (Elmer) Davis and the late Tom Halton. Brother in law of Tom (Helen) Rastin, Patti Hurst (John Boychuck), Lorraine (Greg) Murphy and Terry (the late Earl) Roy. Glenn will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be fondly remembered by his good friends Fred Hurst, Josephine Higgins and her son Michael and the boys, as well as Roger Copeland and Georgina from Raco Automotive. He will also be missed by his friend Freddie and all his coffee buddies. Loretta wishes to thank all the residents at Pineridge Estates for all their well wishes and compassion. As a young man, Glenn was an avid drag car racer who participated in many drag races over the years. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, February 14th from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. A Celebration of Glenn's Life will take place on Saturday, February 15th at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorial donations to Hamilton General Hospital-Trauma Center would be appreciated by the family.
