Obituary of Robinetta "Ruby" Lajambe

LAJAMBE, Robinetta "Ruby"Passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family at the Hotel Dieu Hospital on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 in her 84th year. Loving wife of Alban for 62 years and mother to Dennis of San Diego and Brenda and her husband Doug Walls of St. Catharines. She leaves behind grandchildren Danielle, Garrett, Lauren, Evan, Benjamin and Jordan, as well as great-grandchildren Angela, Jordan and Isaiah. Will also be missed by her brothers and sisters Julie, Mary Louise, Josette, Leo and Marcel and their families. Predeceased by her son Brian (1996).Ruby was born in Chapleau, Ontario and grew up in Franz, Ontario where she met and later married her husband Alban. They raised their family in Gore Bay, Manitoulin Island and later settled in St. Catharines. She will be forever remembered for her love of family, friends and her marvelous flaky pastries. Ruby is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines where her family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 3rd, 2005 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm with Vigil Prayers at the funeral home on Thursday at 2:30pm. A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Alfred's Church, Vine Street, St. Catharines on Friday, March 4th at 9:30am with burial to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
