Obituary of Vogiatzis Sevasti "Sally"
Vogiatzis, Sevasti (Sally)- With her loving family by her side, on September 15, 2003 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, in her 59th year, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Sotirios for 40 years. Loving mother of her late son Bill, Gus (Michelle) and Nick Vogiatzis. Proud grandmother of little Billy. Daughter of Sotirios and the late Tharini. Survived by brothers Yianni, Michaeli and Vasili; and sisters Eleni and Hamiotisa. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews in Florida and Greece. The endless support of Theo Kosta and family will always be appreciated and remembered. Sevasti was born in Symi, Greece and moved to St. Catharines in 1970. A dedicated member of the St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church and a countinuous contributor to the Ladies Philoptohos and numerous philanthrapic and charitable organizations. Sevasti will also be remembered by her friends and co-workers of the last 6 years from Frescos Euro-Grille. The family wishes to thank the Oncology and Palliative care teams for their constant attentiveness and kindness. She was well loved and a treasured soul. Mrs Vogiatzis is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL where family will receive friends Wednesday and Thursday 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral Liturgy will be held at the St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church Friday at 10am with Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Donations to the St. Catharines General Hospital, Oncology Department and the St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church would be greatly appreciated.
