Obituary of Anastasia, "Nellie" Wenger

WENGER, Anastasia "Nellie" Peacefully with her daughter by her side, on Friday March 14, 2003, at Shaver Hospital in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Walter (1968). Loving mother of Olga (Don) Onyschuk and Ron (Maureen) Wenger of Vancouver. Loving Nana of Stephen (Judy), Laureen (Cory), Matthew (Selma) and Christopher (Lora). Great-nana to Alexander, Devyn, Ashley and James. Predeceased by her mother and father and 7 brothers and sisters in the Ukraine. Many thanks to her doctors and staff of the St. Catharines General Hospital and the Shaver Hospital kind and compassionate care. Nellie is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Tuesday at 10:00a.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. John the Theologian Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10:30a.m. The Rite of committal will take place in Glendale Cemetery, Toronto. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Panachyda for Nellie will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 8p.m. Memorial remembrances to St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church Building Fund, or Community Care would be appreciated by the family.
