Obituary of Giovanni "John" Boccia

Boccia, Giovanni (John) Peacefully, with his family by his side on Friday, November 2, 2001 at the Hamilton General Hospital. 78 years of age. Loving husband of Rosina for over 50 years. Much loved father of Carmina Osborne, Anna Arlia, Carla Graham, Ignazio, Antonio, Elizabeth (Lisa) Petro, John, Valentino, and Rosalie Daley, and to his sons and daughters in law. Proud Nonno of 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Antonio and the late Elena Boccia, the late Carlo Boccia & his wife Lucia, and Gilda & her husband Giuseppe Perrone. Predeceased by his parents Ignazio and Carmina Boccia. Mr. Boccia was a member of the St. Alfred's Bocce Club. "We all love you very much and you will live in our hearts forever." Mr. Boccia is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., until Tuesday at 9:00am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfreds Church at 9:30am. Rite of Committal will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm and Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30pm.
