Obituary of Marie "Mary" Usick

USICK, Marie 'Mary' (nee Borysko) - With her family by her side, Marie passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5th, 2013 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late Harold (Harry) Usick for 54 years. Loving mother of Melodee and sons in law Clay and Ron. Grandma will be missed by her loving grandchildren Adam, Emily, David and Katrina. Marie leaves behind her brother Sylvester (Sharon) of Humboldt, Saskatchewan; sister Elsie (Bob) of Hinton, Alberta and brother Edward (Eleanor) of Hinton, Alberta. Cherished Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Marie will join her parents Anna and John Borysko, brothers Michael and Tony, sisters Jean and Helen, nieces Deanna Borysko, Tracey Salt and Linda Bell. She will be welcomed into the arms of her husband Harold along with her children Darlene and Tim. Marie was a long time resident of Linhaven Nursing Home. The family expresses their thanks for their care; as well as to the staff at the St Catharines General Hospital. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, March 7th (Today) from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. A Funeral Service celebrating Marie's Life will take place at St. Columba Church, 7 St. Columba Drive, St. Catharines on Friday, March 8th at 10a.m. Cremation to follow. Inurnment will follow at a later date. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Columba Church or The Alzheimer Society of Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
