Obituary of Vito De Divitiis

DE DIVITIIS, VITO Passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 15th at Hospice Niagara at the age of 86. Much loved husband of Anna, cherished father of Giuseppe, Cristina and her husband Jerry Cino of St. Catharines, Luigi, Mario, Silvia, Franco and Roberto of Italy and grandfather of many in Italy. Survived by his twin sister Cosimina, brother Ernesto and sister in law Anna (the late Paolo) and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Giuseppe (the late Antonietta), Luigi and Pasquale. Vito worked for the City of St. Catharines in the Parks and Recreation Department where he retired in 1991. The family extends their sincere thanks to the entire staff of Hospice Niagara for their care and compassion over the past 6 weeks. Vito's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday, January 19th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Alfred's Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street on Monday, January 20th at 9:30am. Entombment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Hwy#20, Fonthill. Vigil Prayers will be recited on Sunday at 3:30pm. If desired, memorial donations to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family. He will always be in our hearts and with us forever
