Obituary of Webb Rushton

RUSHTON, Webb (Born March 8, 1956) - On January 15th, 2014 at 4:12 a.m. our hearts were broken when we cradled our Angel in our arms and let him soar to the skies. Just 2 weeks shy of our 34th anniversary, I had to say goodbye to my beautiful Webb who changed my life forever when we locked eyes oh so long ago. Webb leaves behind his wife Linda who was his soulmate, best friend and the love of his life. He was the loving, caring and cherished father of Kristen, Lindsay and Chris, Holly and Joel and Corey. Adored Papa of Nova, Cheyenne, Kayden and Keira. Webb fought a courageous battle and never gave up until his last breath. Our family is devastated and changed forever. Webb lived for his family and always had a kind word or smile for everyone he met. We will now have to be as brave as our Angel and continue our journey with him in our hearts. Webb is predeceased by his parents George and June and his brother Scott. He is survived by his brother George, sister June, many nieces and nephews and all of the Winter clan. Webb was a welder/fitter by trade and was admired and respected by many. Our family would like to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for Webb through his journey. A very special thank you goes out to our family doctor- Candace Buetow. A heart felt thank you to family and friends at Heidehof for their love and kindness. Webb, you promised us that you will find a way to come back to us with a kiss everyday and we know you will because we feel you in our hearts. We will always carry you with us down every path we take and we will never let go. Love you darling. Sweet dreams. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Saturday January 18th from 11a.m. - 1p.m. A Celebration of Webb's Life will follow at 1p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorial donations to the St. Catharines Hospital- Oncology Department would be appreciated by the family.
