Obituary of Tom de Montbrun

de Montbrun, Tom "Buddy" Peacefully, surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Hospice Niagara at the age of 82. Dear husband of Ann. Loving father of Dirk, Mary Christine (Tim) and Martin (Sandi). Much loved Grandpa to Brittney, Charlotte, Emma, Taylor and Liam. Tom will be missed by his brother Robert (Joan), his sister Peggy (Gerry), sister-in-law Mary Bruin and many family and friends. Tom was a parishioner of St. Denis Roman Catholic Church and a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24. A special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Hospice Niagara for their compassionate care and support of Tom. The de Montbrun Family will receive family and friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Denis Roman Catholic Church, (230 Lake St., at Carlton) on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by Tom's family.
