Obituary of Anna H. Onyskiw

ONYSKIW, Anna H. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 24th, 2013 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late John Ivan (2011). Loving mother of Jerry (Sheilah) and Valentina (Steve) Habijan. Cherished Babusha of David John (Kimberly), Stephanie (Terry) and Laurie. Great Busha of Taylor, Noah, Kayden and Morgan. Also survived by family in the Ukraine. Anna was a member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church and was an active member of the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League and the Ukrainian Catholic Social Services of Cvitlitchka Myrhorod. Survivor of the Holodomor (1932-1933). Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Albright Manor for their care and compassion. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Friday, December 27th from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 7 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church on Saturday, December 28th at 9:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Children of Chornobyl or Sts. Cyril & Methodius building fund would be appreciated by the family.
