Obituary of Barbara Louise Blackmore

BLACKMORE, Barbara Louise (Lee) Peacefully on Thursday, December 19th at Linhaven Home for the Aged at the age of 85. Predeceased by her loving husband Barry (2002).She was the much loved mother of Hilary (Graham) Blackmore-Greene of Stratford, Ontario, Elizabeth "Liz" (Bill) Winders of York, Pennsylvania and Chris at home. Dear grandmother of Max Winders, dear sister of Eileen (Porky) Douglas of St. Catharines, and special niece of Evelyn Bailey of St. Catharines. Barbara was a member of Star of the Sea Church, a life member and Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 350 in Port Dalhousie and worked with Bell Canada for 20 years. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 24th at Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 34 Elgin Street, Port Dalhousie at 11am. There will be a private family inurnment at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to Linhaven Home for the Aged or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
