Obituary of Domenico Di Pietro

Di Pietro, Domenico Peacefully passed away at home with his family by his side, on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of 48 years to Pasqualina. Loving father of Luigi (Kae Anne) and Frances (Kyle) Tkachuk. Devoted Nonno of Jared, Matteus, Kezia, Holden and Elianna, Felicia and Kalista. Domenico is survived by his mother-in-law Carmela Ferrante, sisters-in-law Irene (Frank), Teresa, brothers-in-law Joe (Bev), Peter (Priscilla), and by his aunt Antonia. Domenico will also be missed by his cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Domenico was predeceased by his parents Luigi and Francesca Di Pietro and by his grandson Kolton Tkachuk (2007). A special thank you to the caregivers from CCAC and the various contributing organizations that helped take care of Domenico. Domenico's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL 585 Carlton St., on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. Rite of Committal and interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston St. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Alfred's Church, Hospice Niagara or to the charity of one's choice.
