Obituary of Harry Dobell

DOBELL, Harry Passed away peacefully on November 11, 2013 at Albright Manor, in his 93rd year. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis for 67 years and the loving father of Ruth (Jerry) Lemick, Mark (Anita) Dobell and Russell (Susan) Dobell. Cherished Grandpa of Karen (Josh) Diamond, Brian (Samar) Dobell, Cheryl Dobell, Lindsay (Jason) Bell, Laura (Richard) Johnson and Great-Grandpa of Liam and Jordan Diamond. Harry was a dear brother of Lily (the late Harold) Peacock and brother-in-law of Kathy Dobell and Judy Brooks. Harry was predeceased by his siblings Dolly Peacock, Edie (Gordon) Shorrock, Johnny Dobell and George Dobell. Harry was a Veteran of WWII and fittingly passed away on Remembrance Day. He worked for the Board of Education for 37 years in the maintenance department. He was a longtime member of Facer Street Baptist Church and later became a member of Scottlea Presbyterian Church. Harry will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Harry's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Harry's life will be held in the funeral home chapel Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow reception, at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill. Memorial donations may be made to Scottlea Presbyterian Church.
