Obituary of Frances Julia Maude Morgan

Steckley, Frances (nee Morgan) - Passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on November 7, 2013 at Linhaven Home at the age of 90 years. Loving mother to Joyce (David) Goldschmid of Redwood City, California, Alan (Sally) Honsinger of St. Catharines, Rick (Yvonne) Honsinger of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Mark (Tanya) Honsinger of San Ramon, California. Cherished Nanny to Renee (Matt), Michelle (Solomon), Josh (Angela), Olivia, Lana, Carter, and Julia-Jade. Beloved Great Nanny to Clark, Alice and Leora. Also survived by her many family members. Predeceased by her husband Howard Steckley , brothers Henry, Andrew and sister Barbara. Frances had a very strong character, kind heart and caring disposition. She loved classical music, was a voracious reader, loved animals, cross country skiing, and playing bridge with her friends. As a catholic woman, Mom instilled great moral values that continues to guide us to this day. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the George Darte Funeral Home, 905-937-4444. Cremation has taken place. A family memorial service will take place at a later date with burial in Bedford, Quebec. Memorial donations may be made to Multiple Sclerosis in Frances' honour.
