Obituary of Dorothy Helen McGrath

McGRATH, Dorothy (Duffy) (nee Duncan)- Peacefully with her loving family by her side. Dorothy passed away on Wednesday November 6th, 2013 at the Niagara Health System at the age of 78. Dear wife of the late Richard (Dick). Loving mother of Mike (Barb). Jim (Shelley), son in law Jim (Hoppy) and predeceased daughter Wendy. She is predeceased by her parents Gordon and Helen Duncan, mother in law Gwen and father in law James. Also predeceased by siblings Erwin, Everette, John, Keith, Wayne and sister and brother in law Carlene and Gus. Loved by siblings Patricia (Gaston), George, Ruby, Edna, Milly and brother in law Jim (Mary). Dorothy will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Alissa (BJ), Brooke (Rory), Garrett, Brett (Jess), Lee and Dustin. Cherished by her nieces and nephews Susie (Rob) , Rick, Penny, Tracey, Patrick and Tammy (Rob) and many great nieces and nephews. Dorothy will forever be in the hearts of her great grandchildren Taylor, Kaelen, Landon, Trinity, Malachi, Malia and Tyson. A special thank you to Dorothy's dear friend Flo McPherson. Thank you to the many staff at the Niagara Health System, especially the caring staff on the Critical Care Unit. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Saturday, November 9th from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Funeral Service will take place at St. John's Anglican Church, 80 Main Street, Port Dalhousie on Monday, November 11th at 1p.m. Cremation to follow. Graveside inurnment will take place on Friday, November 15th at 1p.m. at St. John Cemetery. Memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
