Obituary of Edward Howells

Howells, Edward James - On Thursday November 7, 2013 at Hospice Niagara at the age of 92. Loving husband to Joan for over 71 years. Will be sadly missed by his son Roger (Joan). Devoted Grandad to Jonathan (Tammy), Nathan (Sheila), and Simon (Ashley). Cherished Great Grandad to Owen, Emma, Avery, and Lily. Predeceased by his sister Francis. Ed immigrated into Canada with his wife in 1978 and worked for Burnstein Castings for about 10 years. He loved to be around his grandchildren, great grandchildren; enjoyed watching football; playing various card games, checkers, puzzles and making rugs. Most of all, Ed truly appreciated his fish and chips with a shandy! The family would like to extend their gratitude for the compassionate care that was given to him at Hospice Niagara - Stabler Centre. Family will celebrate Ed's life on Sunday at 11am at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street in the funeral home chapel. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Niagara in Ed's honour.
