Obituary of Agnes Mary Grossutti

GROSSUTTI, Agnes Mary (nee Grossi) - On Friday, October 18th, 2013, Agnes passed away peacefully at the St Catharines Hospital with her loving family by her side, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Marino (October 2, 1972). Dearly loved mother of Lucille Finora and her husband Dan. Loving grandmother to the greatest joys of her life, Katie (Ryan Veld), Holly & Jodie. Great grandmother (GG) to Addison Veld who brought her such joy! Predeceased by her parents Louis & Lucy Grossi, her brother Reg Grossi & sister Angelina Bortolin. Dear loving sister to Tony (the late Ann), Paul & Jean, sister in law Mary Grossi, & Patrick (the late Rose). Sister in law to Olga Grossutti (the late Costantino) & Pia Grossutti (the late Gino). Cherished Auntie Aggie of many nieces & nephews. Agnes's family would like to thank Dr. Dennis Whitty for his compassionate care of Agnes & to the nursing staff on the 4th floor in section A for their compassion & care of Agnes during her last days. Lucille & Dan would like to send a special thank you to Uncle Paul & Auntie Jean, Uncle Pat, Uncle Tony, our mom Bice, and our cousin Joseph & to all our family & friends for all their love & prayers in the last days of Agnes's life. Agnes resided at St Catharines Place which had been her home for the past 7 months. She enjoyed the friends she made there, the activities and the caring staff. We would like to thank Denise Chambers & her staff for their constant care they gave Agnes. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Monday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place on Monday at 3p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Star of the Sea Church on Tuesday, October 22nd at 11a.m. Cremation to follow. Interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Buffalo, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Crohn's & Colitis Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
