Obituary of Julia Nowakowski (nee Majka)

Nowakowski, Julia (nee Majka) - Peacefully in the presence of her family on Thursday October 17, 2013 at the St. Catharines General Hosptial at the age of 91. Kochana to Stanley for over 67 years. Cherished Mom to the late Joseph in 2009 (Dianne), Ella, Theresa (Larry), Julia, and Andrew (Carol). Devoted Babcia to Gregory (Nadia). Loving great Babcia to Gillian and Nathan. Also survived by Fr. Edward Majka and other family members in Poland. Julia was most happy at home in the kitchen or in her gardens and being surrounded by her family. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Tuesday between 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be said in the funeral home on Tuesday at 2:30pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate Street, on Wednesday at 10am. Burial will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
