Obituary of Rinaldo Tonini

TONINI, Rinaldo Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 16th, 2013 at Tufford Nursing Home at the age of 89. Loving husband of the late Fedora (2005). Beloved father of Anna-Marie (Marcel) Iamonaco, Peter (Dianne), and Teresa Hendsbee. Cherished nonno of Mark (Rose), Melissa (Gavin), Matthew, Andrew, and his great-grandchildren Matteo and Paige. Dear brother of Frank (Sernia). Rinaldo will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, his cousin Lucy (Gino) Riganelli, and son-in-law Larry Hendsbee. Predeceased by his brother Guiseppe (2011) and his daughter-in-law Linda (2011). Rinaldo was a longstanding member of Club Roma, Club Fogolar Furlan and St. Alfred's Seniors. Special thanks to the staff at Tufford for their care and compassion. Rinaldo's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Sunday, October 20th, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited at 8 p.m. in the funeral home on Sunday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., on Monday, October 21st, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Tender Wishes Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
