Obituary of Ian Maxwell Shannon

SHANNON, Ian Maxwell Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 16th, 2013 at the age of 75. Beloved and devoted husband of Grete (nee Lysthauge) for 55 years. Much loved father of Swen (Jo), Gina (Gary) Graham and Bonnie (Mike) Pryzbek. Cherished papa of Michael, Zachary, Erik, Eli and Sarah. Predeceased by his granddaughter Hayley (2013). Ian will also be fondly remembered by the Lysthauge family in Denmark and Nebraska. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Sunday, October 20th from 3-4 p.m. A celebration of Ian's life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 4 p.m. Memorial donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Association, Five Counties Children's Centre or the Lewy Body Dementia Association would be appreciated by the family.
