Obituary of Heinz Dieter Langhorst

LANGHORST, Heinz Dieter August 8, 1926 - October 6, 2013 Passed on with family by his side at the age of 87. Predeceased by his loving wife Karin in 2011. Dearly loved by his daughter Ingrid and her husband Ian MacCallum and granddaughter Linnea. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, including those in Germany. Being a magician was a highlight in his life and Heinz was an active member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (Rings 12, 49, 294) for 56 years. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St Catharines, on Thursday, October 10th from 7-9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Heinz's life will take place at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 31 Agar Drive, St. Catharines on Friday, October 11th at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Council of Canadians (http://www.canadians.org/), whose work he supported and admired, or the SPCA.
