Obituary of Robert Ellard Wilson

WILSON, Robert "Chic" August 8, 1932-September 27, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Chic" Wilson, peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, September 27th at Linhaven in St. Catharines in his 81st year. He survived his beloved and devoted wife of 38 years Marlene (nee Schuchard) and his son of 24 years Shane Wilson. He leaves behind his loving family of wife Kathleen, his children Debby (Jim), Heather, Robby (Karen) and Laurie, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 350 and 24 and worked at General Motors for 37 years. May he rest in peace after his long, strong and courageous fight. He will be loved and missed by all but never forgotten. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Chic's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, October 3rd from 7-9pm. A service to celebrate his life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, October 4th at 11am. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
