Obituary of Helen Kucharic (nee Lieskovsky)

Kucharic, Helen (nee Lieskovsky) - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grand mother, Helen on Sunday August 25, 2013 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 90 years after a long and loving life. Helen will be so very deeply missed by her entire family. She is predeceased by her parents Stefan and Veronika, husband John for 35 years, son John Allan, and her sister Karolina Lieskovsky. She leaves behind her loving children Ken (Lynn), Jessica (Dave) Starkey, Marlene (Donnie) Bacon, Ron, Joan, and Joe (Marlene). Cherished Grandma to Stephanie (Randy) Wedler, Ken (Briar), David Starkey, Hannah Legault, Madelaine Legault, and John. Beloved great Grandma to Alex, Matthew, Auden, Avery, and Andrew. Helen enjoyed gardening and cooking but her family and faith were the most important aspects of her life. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Wednesday between 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, 3 Lyman Street on Thursday at 10am. Burial will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Charity of One's Choice in Helen's memory.
