Obituary of Robert Cole

COLE, Robert (Bob) - Passed away on Wednesday, August 14th, 2013 at the Hotel Dieu- Shaver Hospital at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Donna for 39 years. Cherished father of Virginia. Son of the late Howard and Isabel Cole (Brantford). Son-in-law of Vi Chaput (Renfrew). Brother of Harvey Cole. Cousin of Meredith Walsh. He will be missed by his many sisters in law and brothers in law. Bob was a long time hockey referee in St. Catharines for over 40 years and the Jordan Old Timers League. He was an active member of Star of the Sea Church, Knights of Columbus, and OACETT. He volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and Out of the Cold program. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday from 7- 9p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place on Sunday 7:30p.m. in the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will take place at Star of the Sea Church on Monday at 11a.m. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to Trillium Gift of Life would be appreciated by the family.
