Obituary of Anne Labelle
LABELLE, Anne (nee Grodesky) Peacefully in her sleep and while surrounded by her daughters on Tuesday, August 6th at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 88. Wife of Real for 70 years and much loved and cherished mother of Jacqueline (Wayne) Sollen, Loana Labelle and Donna Brewster. Loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Also survived by her brothers Peter and Michael Grodesky and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother William Grodesky and sisters Julie Goddard and Olga Udut. The family extends sincere thanks to the entire staff of St. Catharines Place for their loving care and compassion of Mom. Anne's greatest joy and love was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Anne's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Friday, August 9th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A service to celebrate her life will take place on Saturday, August 10th in the funeral home chapel at 11am. Cremation will follow the service. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
