Obituary of Emilio Ciocca
CIOCCA, Emilio- Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Hospice Niagara on Monday, September 5th, 2011, Emilio went to be with the Lord at the age of 72 after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of 46 years to Rosa (nee Fasulo). Loving father of Maria (Paul Carfagnini), John (Jacqueline nee Timlock) , Nick (Serafina nee Procopio ). Nonno will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Christina, Jon-Paul, Emilia, Jack and Rozlyn. Dear brother of Marcella and Nino Bonanni, brother in law of Heather and Tony Fasulo. Emilio will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Italy. Emilio's family wish to extend a special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and support staff along his journey. Words cannot express our appreciation to the staff and volunteers at Hospice Niagara who went above and beyond with all their outstanding care and support. Emilio is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 7-9p.m. and Friday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place on Friday at 3p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church on Saturday at 9:30a.m. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
