Obituary of Laverne Perry

PERRY, Mary "Laverne" January 29, 1942 - June 25, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Laverne Perry at the age of 71. Loving Mother of Todd (Michele), Dan (Nicola), and Jamie, all of St. Catharines, and Tracey Godin (Mark) of Timmins. Grandma to Jessica, Brett, Taylor, Brooke, Cole and Eric Perry and Alex and Jami Godin. Sister to Nelson DesRoches, Eldon DesRoches, Marie Muir, Lillian Langridge and Maggie Buunk (Rick), all from St. Catharines, Denise Gaudet (Nelson), Earl DesRoches, Ed DesRoches, and Jackie DesRoches, all from the East Coast. Predeceased by her husband Arthur Raymond Perry, Father Edmond DesRoches, Mother Rose Gilbert and her sister Doris Dunford. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Even through her illness she remained her happy, smiley self, always laughing and joking with the staff at Extendicare Timmins who grew to love her and she them. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, July 9th from 10-12, with a service from 11:30 to 12. Interment will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
