Obituary of Eugenio Biagi

BIAGI EUGENIO- Passed away peacefully on Saturday, June15th, 2013 while surrounded by his loving family at the Niagara Health Care System, in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Guilia for 62 years. Loving and devoted father of Peter (Antoinette) Biagi and Anna Biagi (Bill Potter). Loving Nonno of grandchildren Peter (Sharon) Biagi, Jennifer (Steven) Ongcangco, Sabrina (Richard) Stewart, Melissa (Daniel) Bucci and great grandson Max Ongcangco. Survived by his sister in Italy, Maria (Primo) Tesei and predeceased by his brother Primo (Filomena) Biagi and his brother in law Domenico Bonelli. Eugenio retired from Niagara Structural Steel in 1991 after 63 years as a welder. He was a founding member of Club Roma since 1961. He was also a dedicated member of St. Alfred's Parish and an active committee member of their Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Eugenio will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all his family and friends. Thank you to all the staff of 2B in ICU of the NHS for their kindness and compassion. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. on Tuesday, June 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's church on Wednesday, June 19th at 10 am. Entombment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral on Tuesday at 3 pm. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
