Obituary of Audrey Esther Hawthorn

HAWTHORN, Audrey Esther (Inglis) We are saddened by the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother at the age of 94. She went gently with no pain, in her sleep on June 12th. Predeceased by her husband Geoffrey Elwood Hawthorn (2007). Survived by her son Gary (Mary Anna) Hawthorn of Vancouver and daughters Deen (Paul) Teague and Suzanne Hawthorn of St. Catharines, and loving grandchildren Scott, Beth (Rob Studer) and Bradley of B.C., Signy (Glen Harris), Kirsta, Stefan (Jennifer) and Dylan (Karen Sorbera) Teague of Ontario, Aubrie (Joe Gallant) Teague of New Brunswick and Joshua (Sass) Dempsey of Ontario. She will be missed by her twelve great grandchildren. Audrey enjoyed bridge, entertaining and she was an accomplished artist and great mentor to all of us. The family extends sincere thanks to the entire staff of Niagara Gardens for their kind care. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. There will be a private family gathering at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
