Obituary of Angelo Pennacchio

PENNACCHIO, Angelo In his 75th year, Angelo passed away suddenly on Friday, May 31st at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Angelo was born on June 4th, 1938 in Guardia Lombardia Italy. He was predeceased by his parents Francesco and Giovanna. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Maria, cherished sons Frank (Sabrina), John (Jennifer), and Gerry (Melissa) and much loved daughter Tina (Frank) De Luca. Cherished Nonno to his 9 grandchildren Andrew, John, Maelisa, Jacob, Joshua, Angelo, Adam, Pietro and Julianna. Survived by his brother Guiseppe (Marietta), sisters Antonietta (Alex) DiLeo and Cory (Mike) DiLeo, as well as his in laws Gerardo (the late Emilia) Siconolfi, Francesco (Maria) Di Pietro, and Martino (the late Angela) Bernini of Italy, and Gaetano (Marianne) Di Pietro, Michele (Nicolina) Di Paola, Filomena (the late Guiseppe) Tota and Grazia (the late Carmen) Di Pietro, and his many nieces and nephews. Angelo was employed for over 25 years at the Port Weller Dry Docks, retiring in 1996. Angelo's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Monday, June 3rd from 7-9pm and Tuesday, June 4th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 5th at St. Alfred's Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street at 9:30am. Entombment to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Tuesday at 3pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
