Obituary of Walter James Kawula

KAWULA, Walter James - Peacefully, mercifully taken into God's loving arms April 15, 2010. Beloved soulmate and dedicated husband of 53 cherished years to Clare. Loving father of the late Wally Jr. (2002) and his wife Anna Marie. Dearly loved grandpa to Jennine. Walt was predeceased by his parents Ben and Nettie, his brother Joe (Jessie) and sister Helen. He leaves behind his aunt Tilly and cousins in Saskatchewan, brother in law Jim (Jean) Kowalski and Mary Zuber of Brandford. He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews and their children who Walt loved and enjoyed very much. Walt was a longtime, dedicated employee of Ford Motor Company Niagara Glass Plant, retiring in 1994. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Sunday April 18, 2010 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church on Monday April 19 at 11 a.m. with rite of committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If so desired, donations made to Capuchin of Central Canada would be appreciated by his family. Walt warmed the hearts of many with his labradorite eyes; his generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to all who knew him.
