Obituary of Margaret Catharine Marie Sneek

SNEEK, Margaret Catharine Marie (Langelaan) December 21, 1943 - April 27, 2001 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear wife, mother, grandmother & friend. After a courageous 5 year battle with cancer, peacefully surrounded by her loved ones, Margaret was called home. She leaves her devoted husband of 35 years, Joseph. Cherished mother of Jim and his wife Kelly, Ron and his wife Suzanne, Brian and his wife Laurie, and Debbie and her friend Shawn. Much loved Nana of Taylor, Brynn, Braydon, Briar and Jordan. Beloved daughter of Margaret & Cornelus Landelaan. Dear sister of Nick (Trees), Fred (Willie), Hank (Ann), Tony (Charlene), Hugh (Jackie), Willie Bernais (Bob), and Bill (Linda). Fondly remembered by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Best friend for over 45 years to Margaret Paron. A special thank you to Nurses Ann and Kim, Dr. Hartman, The Hamilton Cancer Centre and especially Aunt Jackie for all of her caring and compassion in our family's time of need. Mrs. Sneek is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 9:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Denis Church at 10:00am. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30pm. If so desired, donations to the Hamilton Regional Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
