Obituary of Sophie Stasula

STASULA SOPHIE, On Wednesday April 18, 2001 in her 86th year. Dearly loved friend of Mary and Zenon Chytra and their daughters Lesia and Halia. Predeceased by her husband Mykola Stasula (January 20,2001) and her husband Stephen Gredzen (1953). Also predeceased by her sons Gerald Stephen Gredzen in 1994 and an infant son. Survived by her daughter-in-law Lillian Gredzen of Trenton, Nova Scotia, her sister Anne Kotyck of Mississauga and her sister-in-law Margaret Merrick of Etobicoke. Predeceased by her brothers William Merrick and Michael Merrick. Aunt Sophie will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Joan Konarzycki, John Merrick, Karen Merrick, Laurie Townsend and Gary Kotyck. Mrs. Stasula is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Saturday at 10:00am. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10:30am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Panachyda will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 7:00pm. Visiting hours are Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memorial remembrances to The Children of Chornobyl Fund or Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
