Obituary of John Peter Komar

Komar, John Peacefully on Wednesday, April 4, 2001 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, in his 56th year. John is survived by his beloved Sonja, his loving parents the Very Reverend Mykola Komar and Maria, his brothers Roman, George & his wife Mary Ellen, Andy & his wife Nadia, and Nestor & his wife Vicky. Also survived by his nieces and nephews Christopher, Michael, Lara, Johanna, Alexandra, Tamara, Adrianne, & Nikolai. John was an active member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, and a member of the St. Catharines Cribbage League. John is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., until Saturday at 10:30am. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church at 11am. Rite of committal will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Panachyda will be held in the funeral home Friday at 7:30pm. Memorial remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Hotel Dieu Oncology Clinic, or the Sts.
