Obituary of Marilyn Ruth Shobridge

Shobridge, Marilyn Ruth (Roe) On January 30th, 2001, has been promoted to glory after a courageous battle with cancer in her 62nd year. Beloved wife of Rev. L. Paul Shobridge of St. Davids, beloved mother of Kim (Johnny) Froese, David (Joanna) Morrison and Karen (Clint) Weisbrod and grandmother of Kristina and Jocelyn Froese, Patrick, Daniel and Kalina Morrison and Aaron Weisbrod. Beloved sister of Helen Stringer, David (Mina) Roe, Jean (Eric) Byers and Arlene (Jack) Gillis. Daughter of the late Rev. James S. Roe and Mary-Evelyn Roe. Sister-in-law of Mary Beth (Tom) Bozanin, aunt of Christopher and Jonathan Bozanin and daughter-in-law of Betty Shobridge. Visitation will take place on Friday, February 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 3rd at West St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 42 Pelham Rd., St. Catharines. Visitation will be held at the church from 1-1:45 p.m. on the day of the service. Interment at St. Davids-Queenston United Church Cemetery followed by a reception in their church hall. Special thanks to Dr. Sandra Hartman and to nurse Jill Edwards and health care workers Irene, Thelma and Karen of Paramed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made towards CCAC Niagara, the Cancer Research Society, Inc. and West St. Andrews/First St. Davids Presbyterian Churches.
