SUKMANOWSKI, Michael
After a long illness, on Sunday August 13th, 2000 at the St. Catharines General Hospital in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Sophia. Brother of Walter Sukmanowski of the Ukraine. Dear nephew of Fred Sukmanowski. Survived by cousins John (Pat) Sukmanowski and their daughters Dr. Patricia Sukmanowski (Dr. Michael Brale) of New York City. Catherine Sukmanowski (Jack Czarnota) of London, England, and Barbara Sukmanowski & fiancee Kent Cooper of New York City. Also survived by cousins Anna Kubow of Buffalo and Eugene Kurek & family of St. Catharines. Michael will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law Olga Hewko and her family, Bob (Olga) Hewko, Eugene Hewko and Roman (Catherine) Hewko. Great Uncle of Lesia, Mathew, John, Nicholas, and Daniel. Mr. Sukmanowski will be missed by many relatives & friends. Mr. Sukmanowski was a member of St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church.
Mr. Sukmanowski is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Thursday at 9:30am. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church on Thursday at 10:00am. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Panachyda will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30pm. If so desired, donations to the St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family.
