Obituary of Nicolino (Nick) Tassillo

Tassillo, Nicolino (Nick) Taken by the Lord on Wednesday, September 26, 2001. Loving son of Mrs. Celeste Tassillo and the late Giuseppe Tassillo (1976), dear father of Amanda Marie and Sarah Celeste of St. Catharines, dear brother of Gabriella and Carmen Blancato and nieces Lorraine Marie and Kristen Nicole, dear nephew of Domenic Tassillo, Elena and Aldo Morlacchetti, Maria and Michele Tassillo, Antonietta Pasquarella, Antonietta Scierretta, Lillina Staniscia, Maria Staniscia, Maria and Luciano Torroni. Survived by many cousins in Ontario, United States., Italy and Argentina. Will be missed by his close friend Dorie Johnson. Nick was employed by Canada Steamship Lines for many years, recently achieving the position of 2nd class engineer. Nick is resting at the George Darte North Chapel, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 10:30 a.m. with Rite of Committal in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visiting Hours Thursday 2-4 and 6:30-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers for the deceased will be celebrated in the funeral home on Thursday at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted for the St. Catharines General Hospital Cancer Centre
