Obituary of Ivan S. Kaye

KAYE, IVAN S. Peacefully, on Saturday July 27, 2001, at the Shaver Hospital, at 83 years of age. Beloved husband of Stella Catherine for 62 years. Loving father of Lynn (Wayne Cheveldayoff), Gail (Jim Duchesneau) and Gary (the late Margaret Cushing). Devoted grandfather of Ellen, Andrew, Nina, Natalie and Zandrea. Brother of Edward (Shirley), and Steven (Clarice). Predeceased by his brother George and sister Wanda. Ivan will be sadly missed by dear friends and relatives. Ivan was the former General Manager for General Motors of Canada, St Catharines and Windsor Plants, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, Grand Knight, Rotary Club Member, a member of the Board of Directors of the Hotel Dieu Hospital, past member of the Boards of Education. Ivan served in numerous organizations and committees and was awarded by the Governor General for his participation with St. John's Ambulance. Mr. Kaye is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Thursday at 9:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Julia's Church at 10:00am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 3:00pm. Visiting hours are Tuesday 7-9pm and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Memorial remembrances to the Hotel Dieu Hospital Foundation or the Shaver Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
