Simms, Howard W. On Sunday, July 1, 2001 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, St. Catharines. 85 years of age. Caring husband of Gladys Staverman. And witty, irreverent father of Mary Simms Joyce (Edmonton), Kate Simms (Amsterdam), Robert Simms (Milton), Patricia Simms (Ottawa), Barbara Hilts (Peterborough), Helen Stanley (Seeleys Cove, NB), and John Simms (Hamilton). Passed away on July 1, 2001. He taught and fought in WW II and lost his last, courageous battle with cancer. Memorial remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
